01

The challenge

People pay for protection they don’t understand.

Insurance contracts are dense, fragmented and full of jargon. Young adults often choose the mandatory or cheapest option without knowing what they are paying for—or whether they are already covered elsewhere.

“The need isn’t to sell them insurance. It’s to teach them how to buy it.”

02

Research & definition

From assumptions to a precise opportunity.

The team combined secondary research, user feedback, empathy mapping and competitive analysis. The market clustered into traditional giants, historic mutuals and digital disruptors—yet no player fully occupied the space between trust, clarity and modern autonomy.

03

The strategy

Learn. Protect. Adapt.

Yumi reframes insurance as an ongoing service. A duplicate detector prevents unnecessary spend, a central dashboard makes coverage visible, and gamified learning builds confidence through short, useful moments.

04

Design system

A visual language built for clarity and reassurance.

Plus Jakarta Sans creates a friendly, contemporary voice while a structured blue foundation establishes trust. Pink and cyan families separate learning and service moments without losing coherence.
